Wheel rims

Niobium wheel rims

Niobium, Nb, is an element in the periodic table. Up until recently it had been difficult to alloy Niobium with Aluminium because of their vastly different melting points. But with that solved, I.R.D are using a new alloy with close to double the tensile strength and a finer grain structure than conventional aluminium rims.

A special T10 process where the rim is cooled from an elevated temperature shaping process, cold worked and then artificially aged is applied to Interloc’s entire range of rims.

Cadence Road and Cadence VS Road rims

At 390 grams, this is one of the lightest alloy road rims. In the UK, a growing number of reputable specialist wheel builders are recommending their use and building them onto hubs that are many times their cost.

The Cadence Road is suitable for front or rear use. The VS (virtual symmetry) design rim is rear specific and reduces the dish.
