I.R.D had its start in 1984. In the mid to late 80′s it created components that have been considered on the forefront of mountain bike design. Mountain Bike magazine called its products the “best of good old American innovation and craftsmanship”.

Pioneering functional ideas is what has kept a small company like Interloc going for as long as it has. A reputation too for using craftsmanship found in the better manufacturing facilities has fostered word of mouth recommendations and growth.

First located in Winters California, formerly in Oregon and today in beautiful North Calafornia where bicycles and neat ideas seem to find each other quite often.

It’s true that the company is no longer in the machine shop/tool shed mode, but after 20 years it is still a small outfit looking for great ideas that benefit the bicycle. Interloc are creating high quality components for serious riders, especially hard to find parts that the larger manufacturers have forgotten about.
